Rahm Emanuel Introduces The New Kinzie Hotel
Mayor Rahm Emanuel will appear and formally introduce Kinzie Hotel as Chicago’s newest addition to the River North neighborhood today (Wednesday, January 22, 2014) at 9:30am. Both Mayor Emanuel and General Manager Dennis Igoe will provide media and guests with an overview of the Chicago-centric hotel, followed by a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening, and officially invite Chicago visitors to the premiere property. Kinzie Hotel (20 West Kinzie Street) recently announced the official February 2014 opening in the space currently housing the Amalfi Hotel. The five-story, 215-room upscale boutique hotel’s multi-million dollar renovation features a contemporary look and new image that pays tribute to John Kinzie, a renowned figure who made a historical stamp on Chicago throughout the 19th century. Don’t worry about making the ribbon cutting, the good news is the Kinzie Hotel is here now and oopen for business.
