Martin-Scorsese

Few individuals have had as much success behind the camera as Martin Scorsese. On Tuesday, the 71-year-old legendary director was nominated for a Directors Guild film award for his gripping portrayal of financial greed in The Wolf of Wall Street.

This makes the actor’s 11th nomination from Directors Guild of America. Despite his overwhelming popularity in the industry, Scorsese has only taken home the award once before.

This year’s winner will be unveiled at a dinner ceremony on January 25 in Los Angeles. Other nominees include Steve McQueen, David O. Russell, Alfonso Cuaron and Paul Greengrass.
