Bouquets to Art Festival
Bouquets to Art, the renowned flower festival sponsored by the San Francisco Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums, celebrated their upcoming Impressionism exhibitions. Guests arrived to the festival on April 19, for the gala and preview, which featured decor inspired by a French chateau’s garden and a strictly French menu.
There was a spectacular display of flower arrangements courtesy of the 150 regional designers, as well as a delicious buffet by McCall Associates and numerous bars. Moodswing Orchestra provided lively entertainment as attendees enjoyed the elaborate parade of models draped in gowns made of real flowers. The parade is known as Floral Fashions and is an audience favorite, students in the environmental design departments of participating Bay Area colleges create the gowns and accessories.
The event is in its 26th year and boasts 555,000 visitors while raising more than $4.52 million in funds, which benefit an assortment of special exhibitions, art acquisitions, educational programs, and other projects.
