Haute Secrets: Chef Carmen Trigueros of La Bottega by Carmen
Carmen Trigueros is the chef behind La Bottega by Carmen, her Italian-style enoteca in Coconut Grove with culinary influences of Spain’s Basque region, Provence with hints of Miami’s local flair. Guests can select their favorite Super Tuscan red, uncork it, and have a glass while watching Chef Carmen exhibit her skills in the open kitchen. After all, Trigueros is a classically trained chef, who worked at Fouchon, Ritz Hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant L’Espadon in Paris, with Daniel Boulud and at elBulli. Trigueros has been featured in Bon Appetit, Gourmet and Vogue’s Trend Watch for her esteemed catering business she started in Philadelphia, so those evolving dishes at La Bottega by Carmen are really something to savor.
