City Hall turned into a sea of gorgeous gowns at the San Francisco Opera’s 91st Opening Night Gala. Themed The Garden of Good and Evil, the evening began at the Opera House and City Hall where Opera Ball patrons and Bravo! members sashayed through both venues with stunning looks that epitomized the angelic – or the devious –  gala theme.

The season opened in grand fashion with a performance of Boito’s ‘Mephistopheles’, an opera based on Goethe’s masterpiece of philosopher Faust, who sells his soul to the devil for the object of his desire, Margherita.

Here’s a look back at the highlights from the San Francisco Opera opening night.
