Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove and Pistache Offer Culinary Passports To India

It seems everyone’s got a taste for gourmet Indian cuisine these days. Delicate curries, crispy somosas, and doughy naan are all the rage, so the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove is launching A Passage to India: An Authentic Pop-Up Indian Restaurant on October 3rd. The pop up is the first ever to take place at any Ritz Carlton, and will be worthy of the distinction.  Executive Chef Ramesh Kaduru will be cooking up dishes like Masala Shrimp, Chicken Tikka, Masala Dosa and Dal Makhani from his hometown of Chennai, India. The restaurant will be outfitted with colorful bold tapestries, silver beaded accent pillows and other Indian-style decor for the month, but the Grove’s peacocks, which are fittingly India’s national bird, will stay on!

A little further north the West Palm Beach Clematis Street favorite, Pistache French Bistro, is having a special one night only Indian night on Saturday, September 21st, as part of their Tour du Monde. They are promising Reshim Kababs, Lamb Vindaloo and Madras Shrimp Curry. Music and entertainment will be provided by a Bollywood DJ and a henna tattoo artist, who will be on hand to paint up patrons. $39 for a 3-course menu.
