Vera-Wang

Three cheers for Vera Wang! The 64-year-old acclaimed fashion designer has designed a line of signature pieces to be worn by the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders throughout this year’s football season.

The new sleekly-designed uniforms, which include a black sparkle sneaker, will be unveiled throughout the season. “It was an honor to create the uniform design that has now become synonymous with the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders,” Wang said in a statement. “I always embrace the opportunity to work on extensions of my original creations and enjoyed designing new signature pieces for the beautiful and talented cheerleaders to wear this year.”

Wang worked closely with Christina Weiss Lurie, the President of Eagles Youth Partnership, to create the new white, black and midnight green uniforms. “Vera beautifully achieved our vision for the signature pieces with a fashion forward and sporty look that represents our style,” Lurie explained. “We feel the uniforms are ideal for the cutting-edge image of the cheerleaders—chic while displaying athleticism.”
