Haute Event: Nas Celebrates His 40th Birthday at Lavo, the Boom Box Room

Hip hop legend Nas kicked off his 40th birthday at Lavo with a dinner in the private dining room. Accompanied by friends including Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy, who joined the group for dinner, they ordered the Kobe meatball, tuna tartare, New York steak and chicken parmigiano.

Soon afterward, Diddy surprised Nas by popping in to wish him a happy birthday; they all shared laughs and snapped photos. After dinner, Nas’ group headed to the Boom Box Room at Marquee Nightclub, where he was surprised with a huge presentation and three-tier cake branded with images of all of his albums. Nas enjoyed the club scene while sipping on Hennessy cocktails and smoking cigars.
