Mercat a La Planxa Celebrates La Tomatina
For anyone looking for something new and a little different for dinner at a familiar place, look no further than the delicious Mercat a la Planxa. To celebrate the Spanish tomato throwing tradition, La Tomatina, Mercat has created a tomato-centric three-course meal for patrons of the restaurant. The special menu will be available on Wednesday, August 28 during regular hours. The three-course menu and a cocktail will cost $35, not including tax and gratuity. The menu is as follows:

Cocktail: Tomato Water, Horseradish Caviar & Absolut Vodka
1st Course: Pan con Tomato with Serrano Ham & Amanida de Tomaquet – Heirloom Tomato, Pea Tendrils, Spanish Feta, Pinenut & Gremolata
2nd Course: Tomaquet Coca – Heirloom Tomato, Sofrito, Manchego & Basil Flatbread
3rd Course: Gambas en Tomate – Shrimp in Tomato Sofrito with Spanish Feta & Grilled Bread
