Celebrity Spotting: Shaq Parties at Azure Pool
Azure Pool at the Palazzo welcomed NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal on Sunday afternoon. Greeted by cheering fans, Shaq playfully answered questions, shook hands with fans, and posed for the cameras. The buzz about Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte’s swimming challenge tweet to O’Neal was addressed on Azure’s blue carpet, to which he jokingly teased “Who is Ryan Lochte?”
Affectionately known for his big personality on and off the court, O’Neal mingled with star-struck fans, and pumped up the jam for Azure guests. Local celebrity, Mark Shunock, who plays “Lonnie” in “Rock of Ages” at the Venetian also made an appearance to top off the afternoon.
The deejay kept the crowd moving with hip-hop favorites and popular summer beats, while O’Neal and friends enjoyed the party vibe in the cabana.
