Boys Towns of Italy Gala
On April 8th, New York City hotel, The Pierre hosted the 65th annual Boys’ Towns of Italy “Ball of the Year” Gala. The Grand Ballroom of the prestigious and premier hotel, was filled with countless prominent names that included performer Lainie Kazan, philanthropist Francesca Braschi Gumina, senior vice president of the Conair corporation Lee Rizzuto Jr., textile industrialist Anthony Maltese, and VIP Mark Simone, the WABC radio host and emcee of the evening.
Monsignor John Patrick Carroll-Abbing founded the organization in 1945 and it focuses on offering support to underprivileged children from 14 war-stricken nations. Guests indulged in dancing, dinner, and drinks, all for a charitable cause.
