
Haute Yacht of the Week: Lürssen Yachts’ Azzam
Azzam is undoubtedly the world’s largest superyacht, and it recently surpassed Russian billionaire and business tycoon Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse. Azzam even stretches 57ft. longer than Eclipse with a total length of 590ft and boasts a sleek design and incredible amenities.

Lürssen comments that the boat was “without the a doubt the most challenging yacht that has ever been built.” Aside from its sheer size, Azzam had to be super-fast and able to ply shallow waters “while providing luxurious and sophisticated accommodation to its guests.”
Azzam features 94,000 horsepower, a top speed of 30 knots, armor-plated master suite, movie theater, two helipads, two swimming pools, a mini-submarine, built-in missile defense system, two gas turbines and two diesel engines.
