Chuck Lorre is Partnering with Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello For New Broadway Show
Famed television writer Chuck Lorre is partnering with Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello to create a Broadway musical based on the artists’ album “Painted From Memory.”
Lorre, the creator of “Two and a Half Men” and “The Big Bang Theory” reportedly contacted Bacharach and said that he wanted to write a story to go with his 1998 album, according to the Associated Press.
Due to the songs’ dark subject matter, Bacharach said that the play “won’t be a comedy.” Costello and Bacharach are also in the process of penning additional music for the show.
