Haute Scene: Empowered By You Panty Launch At En Avance
Renata M. Black, Suzy Buckley-Woodward and Hadley Henriette hosted the launch of Empowered By You Panty at En Avance in the Design District. Notable Jillian Jacobson, Pamela Jones and Marcella Novela locals showed up to sip champagne, eat cupcakes and figure out what in their life empowers them most and write it on the Empowered By You package. The panties are a second-skin thong, which give $1 to charity for each pair. In honor of the event, the En Avance owner Karen Quinones is offering a special online promotion: buy two pairs and get one free. Panties are also available for sale in the Design District store.
The new panty, which seeks to empower individuals, will help further the cause of the Seven Bar Foundation founded by Ms. Black. The Seven Bar Foundation is the brand for the Empowerment of Women which helps women around the world via microfinance. The Foundation hosts the top couture and luxury lingerie shows in the world with the purpose of enabling women in need to start their own small businesses.
