Barneys New York Celebrates Chloé’s 60th Anniversary with Stunning Window Display
In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Chloé, hairstylist and visual artist Bob Recine created a series of innovative and stunning window displays for Barneys New York. Though the fashion house’s clothes are gorgeous in their own right, the real highlight of the display is the hair. In one window, brass, woodwind, and string instruments shoot out from the mannequin’s neck, and in another, yards of fabric is braided and suspended to the ceiling.
“We translated hair into something that has nothing to do with hair,” Recine told The Window blog. “It’s always my starting and inspiration point to create something explosive and interesting, and something for people to stop and stare and look at.”
