Dog in Broadway Play ‘Annie’ Earns $1770 Per Week
Lilla Crawford may be the best-paid minor on Broadway, but her $3000 a week salary isn’t far off from her co-stars — her non-human co-stars. Sunny and Casey, the two terrier mixes who alternate as Sandy in the Broadway revival of “Annie,” are each paid $1,770 a week. Meanwhile, Crawford’s other adult co-stars, Katie Finneran and Anthony Warlow, rake it $10,000 per week.
Though it may seem like Crawford is getting short-changed, talent agent David Doan argues that child actors aren’t concerned with their paycheck. “Most of these kids would do it for free,” he told Bloomberg. “With adults, it’s their livelihood. With kids, it’s a hobby.”
