Exclusive: Coco Rocha Shares Her Favorite Beauty & Fashion Tips
Out with the old and in with the new! That’s the motto for supermodel Coco Rocha. “I’m one of those people that can’t be happy with just one thing. I like new things be it makeup, clothing or technology,” the 24-year-old beauty exclusively told Haute Living during a recent event at The Darby.
Wearing tight black pants, a lacy black top, a structured black blazer and a spiked statement necklace, Rocha dazzled among the room of New York celebrities including Nigel Barker, Hilary Rhoda, Angela Simmons and “Real Housewife of New York City” LuAnn de Lesseps.
After gracing the cover of Vogue, walking the runways in Paris, Milan and New York fashion shows and appearing in ad campaigns for Chanel and YSL, Rocha has picked up tons of insider beauty tips and tricks. “I really like the shimmer look in the face, so I mix a shimmer stick with my cover up so that I get kind of a glowy effect,” she revealed. To look perky, even if the dead of winter, Rocha said that incorporating color is key. “It’s such a dreary winter, so I love wearing a pop of color on my lips.”
And like the rest of us, even supermodels struggle to look fashionable when the temperature dips below freezing. “Right now I’m just trying to stay warm and I have the worst clothes for being warm — even though I’m from Canada. You’d think I’d that know what to wear, but I don’t,” she admitted. “I have this purple jacket with massive fur that I think is good enough. I seem to always go for a good looking jacket, but after a while, I still regret not wearing five more layers.”
