
NYC Hot Spots Prepare For Mayan Apocalypse with VIP Parties
If the world does end on Dec. 21, 2012 as the Mayan’s predicted, then New York City is going out in style! Several upscale establishments are toasting doomsday with celebrity-studded VIP parties.

Hudson Terrace: Indulge in live music and libations with iAdventure.com’s End of the World Party the night before doomsday. DJ Lulo and Bones take your last requests at the swanky rooftop lounge. Dec. 20, 11 p.m.; $30. 621 W. 46 St., between 11th & 12th Aves.
Bowery Hotel: Celebrate the arts at the End of the World Party, which pours free specialty cocktails from 7 to 8 p.m. before Old 97’s front man Rhett Miller performs. Comedian Seth Herzog and Mario the Magician keep doomsday spirits bright. The Event Room also showcases apocalyptic paintings, documentaries and sculptures. Dec. 21, 7-11:55 p.m. 335 Bowery, at E. Beaumarchais: The French bistro in the Meatpacking District is decorating with Mayan decor in honor of a festive dinner party featuring an à la carte menu, champagne and DJ Jacques Dumas spinning beats until the end of time. Gansevoort Park Hotel: Go out partying with an army of models posing in an End-of-the World/Post Apocalyptic photo shoot on the trendy Gansevoort Park rooftop, while DJ Lexey and DJ Kalkutta spin tunes. Dec. 21, 7-11 p.m.
