Kanye West Criticized For Wearing Givenchy Leather Skirt to Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert

News | December 14, 2012

Kanye West wore a Givenchy black leather kilt over a pair of matching leather pants to perform at the Hurricane Sandy Benefit concert held on Dec. 12 at Madison Square Garden. Shortly after the music mogul took the stage, Twitter erupted with comments from fans and celebrities about West’s controversial fashion choice.

“Ok I admit it. I let kanye borrow my skirt,” posted actor Jared Leto.

Even West’s girlfriend Kim Kardashian chimed in and wrote, “Awwwwwwww I’m so excited right now!!!!! He looks so cute!!”

This isn’t the first time Kanye has sported a more feminine attire. The hip-hop musician wore a women’s Phoebe Philo’s Céline kaftan-style silk blouse while performing at Coachella last year.
