Haute Scene : New York City Ballet Fall Gala

News | October 26, 2012

Stars aligned at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater on September 20 for New York City Ballet’s Fall Gala 2012. Billionaire businessman, philanthropist and auditorium namesake Koch, who funded the theater’s renovation with a $100 million gift, was there and, as befitting a hugely influential Republican donor, strayed from the topic of dance to discuss the presidential election.

Less politically inclined bold-faced names in attendance at the increasingly celebrity-laden event included Valentino Garavani (who emerged from retirement to create the show’s costumes), Sarah Jessica Parker, Iman, Any Sedaris, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Palermo and—surprise, surprise—an unconventionally dressed Daphne Guinness.
