Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s season was thrown into question yesterday after he was hit by an 88-mile-per-hour pitch and broke a bone in his hand during a game against the Seattle Mariners. A-Rod was the third batter hit by starting pitcher Felix Rodriguez at Safeco Field. His teammates Ichiro Suzuki and Derek Jeter remained in the game after being clipped; no one suspects Rodriguez of beaming players intentionally.
