Coppola Winery Holds Celebration for National Magazine Award

News | July 17, 2012

Francis Ford Coppola has struck gold once again. The director of the Godfather trilogy has earned countless accolades for his achievements in film as well as his later venture, winemaking.

But this time it is his magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story that is getting all of the attention.  The short-story publication has won the 2012 National Magazine Award for Fiction, the highest honor due an American periodical.

An idea stemming from Francis Coppola‘s “Crazy Idea Department,” All-Story is devoted to showcasing the most promising voices in short-fiction.

On June 13, guests gathered at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville to celebrate the recent honor. Guests enjoyed trivia games, prizes, readings, wine and appetizers themed from past issues of All Story.
