Wolfgang Puck Backed Inglorious Basterds Christoph Waltz

News | March 8, 2010

Renowned Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck didn’t waste time voicing his opinion on who should win the Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role during last night‘s celebration.

Of course, it was easy to figure out whom the Puckster was rooting for, as there was only one Austrian nominee in the category – Inglorious Basterds winner Christoph Waltz.

The famous chef, who was scheduled to cater the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, publicly announced outside of the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, that he had rooted for the Austrians in the Olympics and was rooting for Waltz now.

Unfortunately, the skiers representing Austria during the Olympics went home empty handed, but Waltz was the big winner for the category and will be taking with him a brand shiny ned Oscar statue and a belly full of Austrian food cooked by Herr Puck.

“I’ll get him a Weiner Schnitzel…we have to give him some Austrian food,” said the Puckster in a Press Association article.
