To celebrate 200 years of whisky mastery, The Macallan introduces two remarkable releases as part of its TIME : SPACE Collection, showcasing the brand’s interpretation of time travel through craftsmanship. These exclusive whiskies are housed in bespoke vessels, merging cutting-edge engineering with ancient techniques, highlighting The Macallan’s commitment to excellence.

The first release, TIME : SPACE, features a dual-chamber vessel containing the oldest whisky ever released by The Macallan—an 84-year-old single malt from 1940—alongside a second whisky marking a new era from The Macallan’s latest distillery, a 2018 vintage. The second release, TIME : SPACE Mastery, is a single malt that captures 200 years of the brand’s legacy through a complex blend of 14 cask types.

Both whiskies symbolize The Macallan’s dedication to craftsmanship, creativity, and its deep-rooted connection to nature. The collection’s design reflects this bond, with each vessel representing the brand’s journey through time—honoring both its rich history and its future.

TIME : SPACE: A Symbol of the Past and Future

With only 200 bottles in existence—one for each year of The Macallan’s history—TIME : SPACE is a tangible tribute to time travel. The outer chamber of its vessel holds the 1940 vintage, which was aged in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, delivering a rich, complex flavor. This 84-year-old whisky embodies The Macallan’s storied past, bottled at 43.6% ABV with a deep, natural color.

In the central chamber, the 2018 vintage represents the brand’s future, marking the first whisky from The Macallan’s new distillery. Bottled at 54.9% ABV, it highlights the brand’s dedication to maintaining its whisky’s signature quality while embracing innovation.

TIME : SPACE Mastery: A Celebration of 200 Years

TIME : SPACE Mastery is a one-of-a-kind release, crafted from 14 exceptional cask types, showcasing layers of flavor and texture that reflect The Macallan’s whisky-making expertise. With influences from both sherry and bourbon casks, this expression is a tribute to the brand’s unwavering commitment to preserving and evolving the craft for future generations.

The whisky is encased in a circular vessel symbolizing the continuous journey through time, with a vibrant red presentation case that bursts to life with intricate details inspired by origami—each of its 200 spikes representing The Macallan’s bicentennial.

A Global Celebration and Immersive Experience

The launch of the TIME : SPACE Collection will be accompanied by a global marketing campaign, including high-impact 3D outdoor billboards in iconic locations like The Sphere in Las Vegas and Piccadilly Circus in London. Additionally, from October 9-12, The Macallan will debut the TIME : SPACE Experience in New York City—an immersive journey through The Macallan’s 200 years of mastery.
