The Berkeley London To Hold Prêt-à-Portea

News | May 18, 2012

One of London’s chicest hotels is putting a haute twist on the English tradition of afternoon tea.

The Berkeley, The Knightsbridge hotel-haute-spot is paying homage to the crown at their renowned fashionistas afternoon tea, Pret-a-Portea to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years on the thrown.

From June 1-  June  9,Prêt-a-Portea – The Royal Collection will be taking over The Berkeley’s tea room. Cakes and treats that would normally be in the shape of the season’s hautest runway looks for famished fashionistas, will transformed to resemble the most memorable hats worn by the Royal Family.

Princess Beatrice’s Philip Treacy statement piece, as well as a recreation of Queen Elizabeth’s legendary crown, worn for her coronation in 1953, made with a vanilla biscuit with intricate icing and sugar diamonds. You’ll be ready to eat up the looks all over again.

This tea will only be available at The Berkeley during the Diamond Jubilee and is the ideal way for everyone from visitors to London to hotel guests to locals alike to join in the celebration.
