Last week’s San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Modern Ball was everything from classy to sheer genius with hues of Picasso Blue that complimented inspired eras such as Primitivism, Red, African and Cubist. Of course with wonderful people involved who would expect anything less. Dolly Chammas, the Modern Ball chairwoman and SFMOMA Trustee along with Stanlee Gatti, a resident modman helped to make this event possible for all two thousand guests. The ball featured all in one evening three parties: Post-Modern Party featuring DJs Chromeo, and two McCall Associates suppers along with Chef-DJ Hubert Keller. All parties helped to raise money in support of the SFMOMA’s youth arts education programs.

“Our goal is to create one of the truly great contemporary art museums on the planet,” states SFMOMA Director Neal Benezra. “And tonight represents a powerful idea of what art means to a flourishing, public culture.”

Benezra was even thrilled that after looking through the crowd, he only noticed half the guests that came out to support such a worthy cause.
