Haute 100 San Francisco Update: Anne Wojcicki’s 23andMe Helps Celebs Find their Roots

Anne Wojcicki and Linda Avey’s genetics company 23andMe is set to provide the scientific research behind the new PBS series, ‘Finding your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.’

23andMe narrows down family origins and provides a broad picture of genetic ancestry through an in-depth comparison to over 50 populations from around the world. During the show, celebrities including Barbara Walters, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick and Wanda Sykes, will consult the genetics company in order to learn more about their heritage.
