By the end of 2013, luxury carmaker Maserati is hoping to double its global dealer network with the addition of three new products and 250 new dealer outlets.

Maserati sold 6,159 cars last year and expects its sales in 2012 to be about the same, however as they expand their global dealer network, the company expects sales to increase tenfold by 2015.

CEO of Maserati, Harald Wester, said, “We need a broader dealer body of about 500 dealers in place before our new models begin arriving on the market. Most of this expansion will happen by the end of this year.”

The company plans to roll out a new generation Quattroporte upper-premium sedan to rival the Mercedes-Benz S class and BMW 7 series. It is expected to debut during the Detroit Auto Show in January 2013 and will be available for purchase in Europe in the first quarter of 2013 followed by the U.S. in Spring 2013. It is expected to cost around $131,000, which is equivalent to the current model.

Also expected to come from Maserati is Quattroporte medium-premium sedan to rival the Audi A6 and BMW 5 series, which will go on sale in Europe in September 2013. In addition, a SUV from the luxury brand is expected to debut in 2014.
