Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs Exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs
A new exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris transports viewers through iconic fashion house Louis Vuitton’s history, from its inception in 1854 through Marc Jacob’s reign as artistic director.
Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs opens on March 7. The space—curated by Pamela Golbin and designed by Gainsbury and Bennett—features two floors, each dedicated to one of the creators. The first floor, devoted to Louis Vuitton, shows how he was able to develop his packing company under the Second Empire. The second floor explores how Marc Jacobs has, since 1997, remained true to the Louis Vuitton aesthetic while also incorporating his own personal touch.
