Own President Obama’s Old Chrysler For $1 Million

Back before the 2008 election, President Barack Obama ditched his 2005 Chrysler 300C for a more eco-friendly Ford Escape hybrid to back his green agenda. Tim O’Boyle tried to sell the car a few years back, but pranksters ran the bid up to $100 million before eBay shut the auction down.

So think of this as auction number two. To keep pranksters out, bidders are asked to dole out a $2,000 good-faith deposit in order to bid.

But how do bidders know that the car was actually owned by the President himself? In Illinois, when a car is traded in, the titles goes back to the state. Therefore, O’Boyle doesn’t have the original title with Obama’s name on it. But, documentation does show that the car was leased by then-Senator Obama.

Think one million dollars is a stretch? To an Obama enthusiast/supporter or history buff, it may not be. Only time (and eBay) will tell.
