If there’s any excuse for a fashion freak out, it’s this. On April 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Design Center of the Americas will open its doors to the public for a sample-sale event filled with special buying incentives you won’t want to miss.
DCOTA will also open its DesignHouse on this day for designers, clients and visiting public that are unable to make it during regular business hours.
The 14-room showhouse has been created within the DCOTA building and comes complete with a balcony terrace, grand entrance foyer, and wine cellar.
The 9,000-square-foot penthouse highlights the newest products available, deemed must-haves by the most creative and trustworthy minds of industry insiders.
Three premier South Florida Institutions—The Norton Museum of Art, The Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, and the Vizcaya Museum—have been selected as beneficiaries of the event as part of DCOTA’s continuing efforts to support the advancement of arts and culture.
A $10 admission fee will be charged per visit for entry during the run of the showhouse, and will be divided equally between the three museums.
DesignHouse will be open daily, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. (extended hours as noted above) from January 13 through June 11, 2010. There will be no need to resort to all black and subterfuge to get inside any longer!
