Parisian brasserie, The Balcon, has opened over in Pall Mall’s elegant Sofitel hotel. Designed by Russell Sage, the man behind the Zetter Townhouse, the new Anglo-French diner features a charcuterie bar offering British and French cured meats and terrines plus vintage cocktails from antique recipe books.
Unsure which tipple to choose? Christina Larsson aka the champagne angel, is usually on hand to offer some sparkling advice.
Design wise, the St James brasserie and bar resembles Coco Chanel’s 1920’s apartment – expect a gold studded ceiling, shagreen topped tables, mahogany leather, blue mohair banquettes and an amethyst-topped bar.
And if it’s good enough for A listers like Kevin Spacey and Stephen Fry (both of whom have been spotted perusing Vincent Menager’s all day menu), it’s good enough for Haute Living…
