Haute 100 Update: Clint Eastwood Considers a Return to Acting in ‘Trouble With the Curve’

News | October 10, 2011

With his latest Oscar-worthy project about to premiere on Nov. 3, film legend Clint Eastwood is considering stepping out from behind the camera once again for a role in Warner Bros.’ new film, Trouble With the Curve.

The legendary actor-turned-director has received enormous amounts of acclaim for his work directing films like Mystic River, Invictus, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, the upcoming remake of A Star is Born starring Beyonce (postponed due to the singer’s pregnancy), and more. Now, the 81-year-old film icon is taking a “serious look” at the newest Warner Bros. project, a sports/family drama about an aging baseball scout who is losing his eyesight.

The script was written by Randy Brown and sees Eastwood’s character setting out on one last trip to Atlanta with his daughter to scout a hot prospect. The film will be the directorial debut of Eastwood’s Malpaso Productions partner, Robert Lorenz, who has previously served as assistant director on numerous Eastwood films.
