Kurt Rappaport Sells Beverly Hills Home for $24 Million

News | January 19, 2010

Kurt Rappaport, co-founder of the Beverly Hills-based Westside Estate Agency, sold his traditional-style Beverly Hills estate near the Beverly Hills Hotel for $24 million. The house, designed by Waldo Fernandez, has eight bedrooms, 9 ½ bathrooms, a gym, wine cellar, and a theater. It sits on nearly three-quarters of an acre and is approximately 15,000 square feet. In additional to all the bedrooms, bathrooms, and extra amenities, the house also has flat lawns, a guest house, gardens, and an infinity pool. In 2008, Rappaport bought the house for $13.2 million and put it back on the market in February for a generous amount of $28.5 million. This transaction was the highest in Beverly Hills, since he sold his last home to Tom Cruise for $30.5 million.
