Come Together for Some Fanfare

News | January 18, 2010

It’s San Fran’s own ode to music. The San Francisco Conservatory of Music recently hosted its annual Fanfare Luncheon for leading supporters of the organization. Its leading supporters included Diane Ruben, Teresa Medearis, Deepa Pakianathan, Kris Anthony, and Lisa Grotts.

One of the highlights of this season’s productions from the Conservatory is the Shanghai Celebration Concert, which will take place Monday, February 8, 8:00 p.m., at the Concert Hall. The theme of the night? Unity.

The San Francisco and Shanghai Conservatories of Music will honor their longstanding relationship and deepening ties—in addition to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the first sister city agreement between the U.S. and China—with this historic concert featuring works by Shanghai Conservatory composers as part of The Shanghai Celebration.

Can’t we all just get along? These two conservatories prove that we can, indeed.
