Marchesa Spring 2012 Shows Ethereal Glamour
Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig presented their Spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week. The fashion house debuted the collection in its first ever salon-style show and featured designs inspired by Russian artist Ilya Repin’s painting, Sadko in the Underwater Kingdom.
The theme ‘Ethereal Underwater Fantasy’ showed beautifully with mermaid-esk silhouettes in Tulle, chiffon and translucent colored mesh blends coupled with scale-like embroidery and silk fringe.
Marchesa completed each look with custom Christian Louboutin footwear in addition to Marchesa’s signature handbag collection.
Celebrity guests included Naomi Campbell, Emma Roberts, Michelle Trachtenberg, Petra Nemcova, and Rachel Zoe.
