Shari Liu and Wyclef Jean Help Bring In Donations for the Haiti Relief Effort

Last Saturday, handbag designer and member of the Vogue 100, Shari Liu celebrated her birthday at her home in Miami with an acoustic performance from noted artist and Liu’s personal friend Wyclef Jean. In attendance at the party were Liu’s fiancé Alejandro Grimaldi, Rene Ruiz, Fabian Basabe, Marc de Kuyper, Susanne Birbagher, Stephanie Horton, Lolo Sudarsky, Tara Solomon, Nick d’Annuzio, and other notable Floridians. In lieu of gifts, Liu asked that her guests please donate to the Education Scholarship Fund for the Children of Haiti.

The day after her birthday celebration, Liu, in company with Wyclef Jean, jetted to Haiti where they met with Donna Karan, Maria Bello, Patricia Arquette, and even the president of Haiti, Michel Martelly, to personally deliver the donations.

This fall, Liu will be continue to offer her support to the Haiti relief effort when she serves as chair to a fundraising event for Patricia Arquette’s charity NGO Give Love at Urban Zen, sponsored by Haute Living and SuperYachts.com.
