Haute Eats: Rustica Makes Change for Kids
If you can eat out and do good at the same time, why wouldn’t you? And when the restaurant in question is Rustica, one of Fashion Island’s hautest spots, you need even less of a reason to make that reservation. But for an entire year, the restaurant is giving you the chance to give while you get some of the greatest food around. Teaming with the CHOC Children’s Clinic at the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag, with every visit you’ll be able to Make Change for Kids.
“As we learned of the many families in our community that depend on the services provided by the Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag, we knew we had to lend support in some way. The expansion of CHOC Children’s expansion to Hoag to oversee pediatric services, appealed to us, and we decided to direct our fundraising efforts there,” says Jerry McInerney, general manager of the Fashion Island restaurant. “Rustica has launched a year-long campaign in an effort to provide continued support to enable CHOC Children’s to provide state-of-the-art pediatric services at the Allen Diabetes Center.”
At the conclusion of every meal at Rustica, guests will be offered the opportunity to round their bill to “Make Change” for the the children who need it the most within Orange County. Since it’s opening, Rustica California Wine Bistro has focused on contemporary regional cuisine created with a to quality, handcrafted ingredients and products which are fresh, seasonal and farm-raised. Favorites like their Nicoise salad and meat dishes have become mainstays for visitors to Fashion Island.
