News | February 28, 2011

On Saturday, Feb. 26, as part of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, a tribute dinner was held in honor of Alain Ducasse, the famed master of Provençal cooking methods and known for bringing powerful and far-reaching influence onto contemporary cooking and dining. Having cooked at the Festival’s first Tribute Dinner in 2002, it was Mr. Ducasse’s turn to be honored for all his achievements in the world of cooking. Being born on a farm in southwestern France, Mr. Ducasse started his career at the mere age of 16. Today he holds the title of chef with the most Michelin stars, a total of 19.

The Tribute Dinner was hosted by lovely hostess, Carole Bouquet. The french native has appeared in more then 40 films and modeled for Chanel in the 1990s. You may also know her as the Bond girl, Melina Havelock, in the 1981 movie, For Your Eyes Only.
