Porsche Boxster Spyder Glides into LA Auto Show

News | December 7, 2009

The Porsche Boxster Spyder made its official debut at the 2009 Los Angeles Autoshow last week as the lighter weight, greater powered version of the standard Porsche Boxster.

The Los Angeles Auto Show is turning out to be one of the highlights of the week, with the many variations of green luxury cars on display, and now with the powerfully elegant Porsche Boxster Spyder that almost weightlessly glided into the show and stole the hearts of many.

In comparison to the Porsche 911 which comes in many styles, including the GT3, Turbo, Cabrio, and Targa, the standard Boxster from Porsche does not have many iterations. This being said, when Porsche announced their Boxster Spyder a few weeks back, many were waiting in excitement for the Los Angeles Auto Show where the tiny power-car made its official debut.

The Boxster Spyder not only packs more power (320hp) than the Boxster S, but it also weighs 176lb less and features an upscale, albeit minimalist, design.

The Porsche Boxster Spyder costs $61,200 and deliveries will begin in February 2010.
