New York Fashion Week: Douglas Hannant Fragrance Launch Party
Douglas Hannant is a luxury staple amongst Manhattan’s social elite. (I reported this back in September when I attended his fabulous Spring 2011 fashion show.) And although Hannant is well-known throughout the city for his stunning gowns and wedding couture, today at The Payne Whitney Mansion, he was not holding another runway show. Instead, dozens of New York’s finest gathered in the elegant event space, to celebrate Hannant’s official launch of his first-ever fragrance, Douglas Hannant de Robert Piguet.
Hannant has teamed up with Robert Piguet Fragrances to create a signature scent that is said to be “inspired by the sophistication ofhaute couture.” The partnership is a fitting one, considering that Robert Piguet fragrances (like Douglas Hannant gowns) are some of the most coveted perfumes in the world.
Attendees included supermodels Maggie Rizer and Carmen Dell’Orefice, “Catch Me If You Can” Broadway star Rachelle Rak, Fox News anchors Kimberly Guilfoyle and Ainsley Earhardt, along with socials like Muffie Potter Aston, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Mary McFadden, Valesca Guerrand Hermes, Alexandra Lebenthal, Somers Farkas, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Jennifer Creel, Gillian Miniter, Alexandra Lind Rose, Jill Fairchild, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Sharon Bush and Frederick Anderson.
Douglas Hannant de Robert Piguet fragrance will be available at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
