NYC Celebs Hit Sundance, Enjoy Some Perks, and Give to Charity
Park City, Utah was lit up with glitz, glam and galavanting, as the Sundance Film Festival rolled into their town. Of course, tons of NYC celebs headed out to enjoy the all the Film Festival had to offer, including the carpets and parties and all around fun.
One of the hottest places I got to hang out in was the “House of SWAGG.” We saw everyone in there, including New Yorker Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, Maria Menounos, Mario Lopez, Andie MacDowell, Elizabeth Banks, Terrell Owens, Susan Sarandon, Julia Ormond, Eliza Dushku… and I could keep on going.
The best thing about Sundance is all the cool stuff you get to take home with you. In the Swagg suite, people were camped out by the Under Armour booth, where celebs were checking out gear they plan to work out in. We caught Paul Rudd picking up the brand’s new athletic boxers as well.
Also in the suite was the Samsung Galaxy Tab area, which is what the suite was named after. The tabs feature a new mobile application called SWAGG which lets users purchase and exchange gift cards, check loyalty card points or balances, share content, etc, without having to carry those plastic cards around.
My take on the coolest part of this whole party house was that “House of SWAGG” gave a cash donation to Stand Up To Cancer for a portion of the gift values offered to VIP guests. The non-profit helps fund cancer research and works to raise awareness. VIP guests got to choose to have all of their gifts donated directly to the charity; as Valentine’s Day approaches, it feels good to have a heart!
