Denim Reload: Les Halles Jeans
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Les Halles Jeans are my absolute favorites. The cord leggings and the skinny jeans are must haves. Best known for their denim, Les Halles has expanded to include shirts, skirts and jumpsuits. I’m especially coveting this plaid dolmain-sleeved button-down.
Now a bit of history (because I think it’s interesting!). Les Halles Jeans was launched in 1979 by husband and wife team, Marlene and Stephen Baum. Both had many years of denim experience under their belts. The brand took a hiatus and re-launched in 2008 when the couple’s daughter, Remy, discovered an old pair of mom’s wide-leg jeans in her closet. “I decided to try them on and couldn’t help bu tnotice that they resembled a certain style of jeans that was new to the market and becoming more popular by the day. So I approcahed my parents with the idea of bringing back Les Halles for the next generation.” And so they say, the rest is history!
