Wedding Bells for Chelsea Clinton

With all of the Thanksgiving eating and long weekend shopping, it’s likely you missed some big news coming out of the Clinton family. Chelsea Clinton has announced that she and her boyfriend, Marc Mezinsky, are engaged!

Chelsea Clinton announced that she is officially engaged over the weekend, and while many thought she and her boyfriend, Marc actually got married last year, little Clinton is setting the record straight—it hasn’t happened yet, but now it’s official that it will!

While Clinton and Mezinsky did not tie the knot last summer, as some were erroneously reporting, the pair wrote a statement over this Thanksgiving weekend which they had released first thing this morning making the exciting announcement.

The dynamic political duo’s announcement said, “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looing toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.”

Chelsea’s fiancé is the son of two former congress members, and so I’m sure there is never a shortage of political fodder to dissect at the dinner table. Congrats to the couple!
