Searching for a weekend plan? It can be hard to know where to go and what to do. Los Angeles is rich with options so I’ve tried to whittle down your weekend list. Here’s what my iCal has in store for me come 6:00pm. TGIF!

EAT: Sushi Roku is an L.A. sushi staple—expect to find everyone from MTV reality stars to the entertainment execs who cast them fiddling with chopsticks. So, when the restaurant announced a makeover months ago, Roku regulars balked. Turns out, there was no cause for concern. Sushi Roku’s “after’ has already won a massive stamp of approval since it debuted a few weeks ago. Sushi purists will still be satisfied with offerings from sunomono to sashimi but fans of fusion will applaud the innovations on Roku’s revamped menu as will truffle addicts. The delicacies were employed with a heavy hand when crafting the new dishes. Apparently, there’s a fungus among us.

GO: it’s Hammer Time. In addition to an amazing exhibit of rarely seen paintings by minimalist maven Eva Hesse, this year’s Armand Hammer Museum Artist in Residence, Machine Projects is curating a concert series, The Little William Theatre Festival of New Music, on Saturdays. The festival (which takes place inside a coatroom—see it and believe it) includes over 350 commissioned new works, 96 composers, and 4 resident ensembles. This Saturday’s entertainment will feature the audio stylings of violin duo Andrew McIntosh and Andrew Tholl.

SHOP: stylephiles will be thrilled to note that Maria Cornejo’s Zero Resort 2011 collection has arrived and will hang in her boutique racks this weekend.
