Zendaya Stars in Louis Vuitton’s Campaign Celebrating 130 Years of the Monogram

Zendaya stars in Louis Vuitton’s latest Monogram campaign, released as the House marks 130 years of its most recognizable motif. Shot by Glen Luchford and directed by Roman Coppola, the images center on the Speedy, pairing one of Louis Vuitton’s most familiar designs with a face closely associated with the brand today.

At the center of the campaign is the Speedy. Introduced in the early 1930s as a scaled-down version of Louis Vuitton’s travel bags, it was designed for daily use rather than long trips. Decades later, the Speedy remains one of the most iconic handbags Louis Vuitton has ever made, worn and recognized across generations.

Over the years, the Speedy has also been a canvas for reinterpretation. Collaborations with Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse introduced bold color, graphics, and attitude. Several of those reimagined Speedys have since become cultural touchstones, closely tied to defining moments in fashion.

The campaign forms part of Louis Vuitton’s year-long marking of the Monogram, placing the Speedy at the center of that history. The imagery presents the bag as it exists today, instantly recognizable and unchanged in its essentials. Zendaya’s presence situates the Speedy firmly in the present, reinforcing its place as a long-standing staple in everyday wardrobes as much as in fashion imagery.
