Miami shimmered with Latin music’s brightest stars as the 38th annual Premio Lo Nuestro delivered one of its most electrifying ceremonies to date, and Haute Living was on the ground for every moment of it. From exclusive red carpet interviews to coveted backstage access, our team captured the glamour, emotion, and history-making wins that defined Latin music history.

On the magenta carpet, Haute Living conducted exclusive interviews with artists represented by Warner Music Group such as Justin Quiles, winners, and presenters. We delved into fashion inspiration, creative evolution, and what Latin music’s global expansion means for the next generation. Backstage, our access captured candid celebrations, emotional embraces, and the behind-the-scenes moments that viewers at home never see. Natti Natasha talked about life after her baby, Yami Safdie, won her first-ever award, and Juanes shared tips for the next generation.

“With this world of advanced technology, the one thing I would urge this young generation is to pick up an instrument,” Juanes said. “Teach your kids how to make music.”

Broadcast live from Miami and aired on Univision, UNIMÁS, and Galavisión in the United States — with streaming across Latin America on ViX — the 2026 ceremony celebrated the artists and cultural moments that shaped the year. Hosted by Thalía, Nadia Ferreira, and Clarissa Molina, the show blended high fashion, high emotion, and headline-making performances in true PLN fashion.

The evening belonged to Bad Bunny, who emerged as the top winner with six awards, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “DTMF,” and Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos. His dominance reaffirmed his status as a global force reshaping the sound and scope of Latin music.

Close behind was Carín León, who secured five major wins spanning regional Mexican and crossover collaborations, underscoring the genre’s surging international influence.

Other standout victories included Karol G, who claimed three awards including Urban – Female Artist of the Year, and Maluma, who also took home three trophies. Yuridia earned three honors, further cementing her powerhouse presence in Mexican music.

This year’s ceremony also spotlighted the legends whose artistry shaped generations. Arcángel received the Urban Icon Award, while Juanes was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Los Bukis received the Musical Legacy Award, producer Manolo Díaz was recognized with the Visionary Award, and Paloma San Basilio received the Award for Excellence.

Mark Anthony and Maluma Backstage at Premio Lo Nuestro

Maluma brought home three awards: Artista Pop Masculino del Año, Colaboración del Año Música Mexicana, and Colaboración del Año Urbano.

“The time to be back was coming,” Maluma said during his acceptance speech. “I’ve been crazy to get back into it [music], and here we are, thank you.”

Mark Anthony

From the opening note to the explosive finale, the 2026 ceremony delivered nonstop spectacle. Marc Anthony opened the show with the global television premiere of “Como en el Idilio,” sharing the stage with Nathy Peluso in his first original salsa duet with a female vocalist in more than three decades.

One of the night’s most powerful moments came following Juanes’ career-spanning medley, when he made a quiet yet striking statement in a black T-shirt reading “Se Habla Español.” A call to embrace the Spanish language with pride rather than shame, and a reminder for immigrant communities to hold tightly to their culture, heritage, and identity.

J Balvin

Meanwhile, Arcángel’s tribute featured an all-star lineup including J Balvin, Eladio Carrión, Mora, and Sech that had everyone dancing.

Rawayana and Elena Rose

A standout performance came from Venezuelan stars Rawayana’s Beto Montenegro and Elena Rose. Their duet of “Naguará” and “Luna de Miel” was absolutely mesmerizing. A moment that left the audience spellbound.

Romeo Santos and Prince Royce reunited for a thrilling medley, while Sebastián Yatra delivered cross-genre collaborations that showcased Latin music’s global evolution. The night closed with a high-octane finale led by Ryan Castro, who brought the audience to its feet with “LA VILLA” and an explosive collaboration with J Balvin.

As Latin music continues its ascent as a dominant global cultural force, Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 proved Latins are defining the future of pop culture.
