Camila Coelho is turning a personal celebration into a global act of purpose. The Brazilian American fashion and beauty entrepreneur has been named Global Ambassador for So They Can and is using her birthday to lead a fundraising campaign aimed at building a 120 bed girls dormitory in Africa, supporting the organization’s mission to break the cycle of poverty through education.
The campaign was officially launched at a brunch hosted by Camila at Casadonna, a standout destination by Groot Hospitality in Miami, bringing together an intimate yet influential circle of friends and supporters including Isabela Grutman, Dafne Evangelista, Natasa Gorham, Paola Alberdi, Alina De la Vega, Cass Dimicco, and Nancy Twine, all gathering in support of the mission to expand educational access for young girls. Also in attendance were Cassandra Treadwell, Founder of So They Can, alongside April Donelson, Managing Director of Haute Media Group, underscoring the collaborative leadership and shared commitment driving the campaign forward.
A major milestone for the initiative came with a generous matching pledge from philanthropist Beck Bulat, who committed to match every dollar raised up to $150,000. This contribution instantly doubled the power of each donation and significantly increased the project’s potential reach. At the center of the effort is a practical and life changing goal: providing safe housing for young girls pursuing education. In many underserved regions, distance from schools and lack of secure accommodation remain major barriers to learning. The planned dormitory will offer a stable environment for 120 students, helping ensure consistent attendance, emotional wellbeing, and stronger academic outcomes.
Beyond bricks and beds, the project represents opportunity. For many girls, access to safe housing means access to education, confidence, and future careers. It also empowers families and communities, creating ripple effects that extend far beyond the classroom.
Camila Coelho’s role as Global Ambassador signals a broader shift in the creator economy, where public figures are increasingly stepping into leadership roles within social impact initiatives. By dedicating her birthday to this cause, she transforms a personal milestone into a global invitation to give back, encouraging her audience to participate in building lasting change.

The launch event combined elegance with empathy, supported by partners who helped bring the vision to life. More importantly, it set the tone for a campaign rooted in action, transparency, and real world results.
As fundraising continues, this initiative stands as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when influence meets intention. Through her partnership with So They Can, Camila Coelho is helping build more than a dormitory. She is helping open doors to education, independence, and brighter futures for girls who deserve every opportunity to succeed.
