Where the Fashion Crowd Dines and Drinks During NYFW
NYFW is as much about where you go after the shows as what happens on the runway. The right room can shape the entire night, whether it is a quiet cocktail bar for a reset or a dining room that carries the evening forward. From low key favorites to buzzy destinations, these are the places the fashion set returns to season after season.

Just in time for NYFW, Dandelion has opened on Christopher Street in the West Village. The intimate, art driven cocktail bar comes from hospitality veterans Eytan Sugarman and Will Makris, with a strong focus on atmosphere, design, and a tightly edited drinks program. Led by Keith Larry, the menu moves from light, effervescent highballs and chuhais to freezer martinis and spirit forward sips, with inventive touches throughout. Small plates by Michelin starred chef Franco Sampogna, including bluefin tuna toast with uni and caviar, make it an easy late night stop between shows.

Wild Cherry is the latest restaurant from Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr, the duo behind some of New York’s most beloved French leaning dining rooms. Set inside the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, the West Village spot channels the feel of an intimate supper club, making it the perfect spot for post fashion-show dinner and drinks. The century old setting adds to the sense of occasion, grounding Wild Cherry firmly in the neighborhood’s cultural fabric.
Chez Margaux

Chez Margaux is one of the city’s ultimate hotspots. Tucked away from the chaos of the show schedule, the members only club offers a polished but low key setting that feels equal parts Parisian and downtown New York. Nights unfold over candlelit dinners, strong cocktails, and long conversations, with designers, editors, and models flowing in well past dark. It is the kind of place the fashion crowd gravitates toward once the day is done and no one is in a rush to leave.
The Nines

The Nines is one of those downtown fixtures that always feels right during NYFW. If you are in need of a gorgeous backdrop, the room does the work for you. Plush red velvet, leopard print carpets, and low lighting set the scene. It draws a well dressed crowd without trying, so settle in with a martini and something indulgent off the menu (the caviar baked potato typically does the trick) and and let the night unfold.
Faena New York

The Living Room at Faena New York is NYFW’s newest after-dark salon, tucked inside the brand-new West Chelsea outpost overlooking the High Line. Designed in Faena’s signature Deco-tinged style, the space layers plush banquettes, sculptural bars, and rich textures into a glamorous yet relaxed lounge that feels made for lingering. Live music sets the mood nightly, moving between jazz, soul, and contemporary classics, while a polished cocktail program leans spirit-forward and celebratory. Equal parts intimate and theatrical, it’s the kind of room where fashion crowds congregate.
Caviar Kaspia

For a chic uptown moment, Caviar Kaspia inside The Mark Hotel is a fabulous choice. Designed by Jacques Grange, the space channels the unmistakable glamour of the original Paris institution. Signature blue tablecloths, emerald mohair banquettes, and polished wood paneling create an atmosphere that balances old-world indulgence with a distinctly New York sensibility. Long favored by the international fashion and celebrity set, the New York outpost delivers the same caviar-forward experience, now with a city-ready edge that makes it a natural NYFW destination.

San Vicente Bungalows brought its famously discreet, celebrity-loved LA ethos to New York with the opening of its West Village outpost in spring 2025. Defined by a strict no-phones policy and an ultra-private atmosphere, it has quickly become a place of refuge amidst the fashion week chaos.
The Twenty Two

The Twenty Two New York brings a touch of Mayfair to downtown New York. Set inside a historic brownstone just off Union Square, the London-born hotel and members’ club is defined by lush, layered interiors, low lighting, rich textures, and an intimate townhouse atmosphere. At ground level, Café Zaffri anchors the space with Mediterranean-leaning dishes and a polished cocktail program that draws a fashion-forward crowd from early evening into late night.
Temple Bar

Temple Bar remains one of downtown New York’s most reliable after-dark addresses. Located on Lafayette Street in NoHo, the cocktail bar is defined by dark wood interiors, low lighting, excellent martinis, and a crowd that skews editors, designers, and people who know where to go once the shows wrap. It is intimate, buzzy, and effortlessly cool, the kind of place that feels right every time.
Jean’s

A go-to during New York Fashion Week, Jean’s is known for hosting some of the season’s most in-the-know brand after-parties. The night typically starts upstairs with a lively dinner in the restaurant before moving downstairs, where the space transforms into a packed, late-night scene. With designers, editors, and creatives filling both floors, it’s one of those rare spots where dinner naturally turns into dancing well past midnight.
