It’s New York Fashion Week: Here’s Every Chic Spot to Eat & Drink This Season

Dining, Fashion | September 11, 2025

September in New York means back to the city and back to fashion. New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is about to kick off officially on Thursday, September 11th. Whether you’re a New Yorker prepping for the shows or a stylist flying into the city just for the weekend, here’s every restaurant and lounge worth eating and drinking at this year. Trust us, these are places to see and be seen at when making your way through Manhattan.

Teruko

Tucked away in the iconic Chelsea Hotel, set in the same space that the legendary Bob Dylan was discovered, sits Teruko–a new, intimate, and refined Japanese restaurant with a thoughtfully curated sushi bar. Located on the hotel’s subterranean level, this new restaurant is the latest addition to the hotel’s acclaimed culinary program, following the successful relaunch of El Quijote and the debut of Lobby Bar and Cafe Chelsea. Helmed by Executive Chef Tadashi Ono, formerly of Matsuri at The Maritime Hotel, the menu will focus on traditional ingredients to create each dish with signature offerings like Smoked and Seared Kampachi, Whole Dover Sole Karaage, Robata Grilled Ozaki Wagyu, and more alongside a full menu of traditional edomae-style sushi by Head Sushi Chef, Hideaki Watanabe. Teruko’s interior presents a dark, moody, but cozy atmosphere, making it the ultimate “cool girl” restaurant to dine at this week.

Obvio

Step into Obvio, a modern supper club and cocktail bar where style meets flavor. Born from the collaboration of Santa Cruz Co. and JF Restaurants, every detail—from giraffe-print walls to custom glassware—creates an effortlessly chic energy. Sip inventive agave-forward cocktails crafted by Amy Racine, Wine Enthusiast’s 2024 Beverage Director of the Year, including the Obvio Martini and playful revivals like the Firing Squad, or explore the Agave Tray Service with tequila, mezcal, and pechuga. Chef John Fraser curates a casually elegant menu designed for sharing, while late-night DJs set the tone for dancing, making Obvio a must-visit destination during NYFW.

Temple Bar

If New York Fashion Week had a signature cocktail, you’d probably find it at Temple Bar. This moody downtown hideaway channels a ‘90s martini-laden escape and is the ‘it’ spot for fashion lovers alike to sneak away from the shows to enjoy expertly crafted drinks in a space dripping with old-school glam. When choosing a drink, the menu features a luxe array of martinis in many playful iterations and an abundance of champagne flows. The lighting is just dim enough to make every film feel like a secret. The crowd is a mix of fashion insiders, boldface names, and those in the know. Whether you’re sliding in post-show or winding down after a long day, Temple Bar is NYFW’s version of a classic accessory: timeless, sharp, and always in style.

Bar Bianchi

Bar Bianchi is downtown Manhattan’s chicest new hangout, bringing the magic of a Milanese piazza straight to New York City. The bar gives off the undeniable charm of Northern Italy with a modern New York edge. Think martini-hour vibes under a striking zinc-and-Formica bar with a green art deco canopy, Venetian plaster walls, and vintage lighting that glows just right. Executive Chef Nicole Gajadhar has crafted a trattoria-style menu with classics like beef carpaccio, burrata with roasted peppers, and a show-stopping veal Milanese for two, while Cody Pruitt’s cocktail program keeps spritzes, negronis, and gelato-spiked sgroppinos flowing. With natural wines, a sidewalk patio, and the kind of atmosphere that blurs indoors and out, Bar Bianchi is poised to be the ultimate NYFW spot to eat, drink, and be seen.

The Nines

True to its name, the space is the ‘it’ spot with plush red velvet and leopard-print carpets, evoking a glamorous old-school New York spirit. So dress to the nines, order a dirty martini and their signature caviar baked potato—you’ll understand why it’s a city classic. And it’ll always leave you coming back for more.

Jean’s

Paying homage to New York while rethinking the classic bistro, this downtown favorite strikes the perfect balance between timeless and modern. The main dining room exudes a sultry, close-knit energy for dinner, while downstairs the cocktail bar transforms into one of the city’s most sought-after late-night destinations.

Chez Margaux

This season, Chez Margaux has quickly cemented itself as one of New York Fashion Week’s most coveted hotspots. The members-only club channels the intimacy of a Parisian salon while embracing the edge and energy of downtown New York, offering a refined escape from the frenzy of shows and presentations. Inside, the atmosphere is both glamorous and inviting, drawing in designers, models, editors, and tastemakers for dinners, cocktails, and conversations that stretch late into the night. More than a club, Chez Margaux has become the heartbeat of NYFW evenings—an insider destination where the city’s fashion crowd lingers long after the lights go down.

The Twenty Two

Straight from London’s Mayfair to the heart of New York (and After just hosting Justin Bieber’s album listening party), The Twenty Two has arrived just in time to make its mark on Fashion Week. The private members’ club and hotel brings its signature mix of old-world elegance and modern cool across the Atlantic, instantly drawing in the city’s most stylish set. With richly layered interiors, intimate dining spaces, and a bar scene that buzzes well past midnight, it offers a decadent backdrop for both business and play. The member’s club is one of the chicest places to be right now—a new essential on the fashion week circuit.

San Vicente Bungalows

While most NYFW hotspots thrive on visibility, San Vicente Bungalows operates in the opposite direction. The notoriously private members’ club, with its strict no-phones policy and ultra-discreet atmosphere, has become the place where the real conversations happen—quietly, behind closed doors. Known for hosting power dinners and clandestine meet-ups, the space offers a rare sense of calm amid the chaos of fashion week. For those lucky enough to gain access, San Vicente isn’t about the spotlight—it’s about slipping away from it.

Amber Room

Tucked away in Midtown, Amber Room has quickly emerged as one of the city’s most intriguing members-only destinations. With interiors bathed in warm golden light and walls that shimmer like their namesake, the space feels equal parts glamorous and mysterious. A hybrid of lounge, supper club, and late-night hideaway, it attracts a stylish cross-section of fashion insiders and creatives looking for something a little more under the radar. During NYFW, Amber Room offers the perfect balance—decadent enough to impress, yet discreet enough to feel like a true insider’s secret.

Titsou Bar at Fouquet’s

Stepping into Titsou Bar at Fouquet’s is like entering a Parisian fantasy transported straight to New York. Housed within the iconic Fouquet’s space, the bar radiates timeless elegance with a modern twist—velvet seating, gilded accents, and a cocktail menu that reads like a work of art. During NYFW, Titsou has become a magnet for fashion’s international crowd, offering the perfect blend of sophistication and energy. Whether it’s a pre-show aperitif or a late-night rendezvous, the bar is where style, glamour, and conversation effortlessly collide.
